Thank you for your interest in AOTA’s Advanced Certification Program. Please carefully review the information below prior to proceeding with the application process.

Candidate Guide: You can view and download AOTA’s Board Certification in Pediatrics (BCP) Candidate Guide here. It is essential that you review the candidate guide prior to submitting an online application.

*Helpful tips:

  1. Before you log in to begin your application, make sure your AOTA account information is current- including your name (should match government-issued ID) and email address. These fields will autopopulate in the application, and if you correct them before starting it will prevent conflicts later in the process. You can update your AOTA account information here.
  2.  If you would like to purchase the AOTA BCP Review Course at a reduced rate (save $50), you will need to do this BEFORE submitting your application by purchasing the Review Course + Exam bundle. You can view/purchase here: https://myaota.aota.org/shop_aota/product/BCPCE. We are not able to issue discounts after your application has been submitted. 

Please log in with your AOTA account information to begin a certification application. You will be taken through the following pages

  • Applicant Information page
  • Verification of years of experience as an occupational therapist (upload)
  • Verification of experience hours in certification area (upload)
  • Verification of completion of AOTA-approved Fellowship Program (if applicable)
  • Request for accommodations (if applicable)
  • Applicant Attestation
  • Review and Payment

You can save your work as you go and return to your application as often as needed for up to 60 days or until you finalize and submit your application. If your application remains incomplete for more than 60 days, it will be deleted. You can begin a new application when you are ready to move forward with the process.
